Jacques LaPointe

Chairman of the Board for Leankor, Jacques is a tech veteran, entrepreneur and senior investment manager with significant board experience. He was the former President & Co-Founder of ATTAbotics, a robotic warehousing and fulfillment system. Jacques has been an advisor and influencer for early stage venture capital in tech companies since 2008 with 5 portfolio company exits. He has led / co-led over $43 M of investments into early stage tech companies. He is a member of Valhalla Private Capital, one of Canada’s leading angel investment groups with member locations focused across Western Canada.

Prior to his adventures in the investment side of tech, Jacques spent over 13 years launching and managing innovative technology products in global markets. His background includes senior roles in Product Management, Marketing, Business Development and Operations with experience in the mobile software, telecommunications and engineering consulting industries. During his career, Jacques has completed numerous product launches, has four issued patents, completed an acquisition and has brokered numerous industry partnerships and initiatives.


Emilio Bernabei

Emilio is on a mission to change the way people work together on complex customer projects for the better. The impetus to start Leankor and help companies transform project management came from his own experience with industrial manufacturing projects where he witnessed the inherent challenges of such projects and kickstarted his quest to find a better way.

Emilio has over 20 years of experience in the tech sector, holding senior leadership, marketing and product management positions at hardware and software companies. His career adventures include senior management positions with SMART Technologies (NASDAQ:SMT) where he led a software division and was the head of global alliances and M&A, as well as Pervasive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:PVSW), acquired by Actian Corporation, where he headed up worldwide product marketing. Prior to that, Emilio held senior product management and marketing roles for startups in Austin, Texas, Silicon Valley and Vancouver. He also spent a number of years with Accenture as a senior consultant specializing in the design of enterprise work management systems in the energy sector.

Emilio graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in computer science. He holds a wireless patent and has served on the board of several technology industry associations. Outside of changing the world of project management, Emilio enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the Rocky Mountains through hiking and skiing adventures.


Mike Broadfoot

For most of his career, Mike has dedicated himself to investing in and helping lead early stage companies. Most recently, Mike served as Chairman of Solium Capital Inc, which was sold in 2019. Current initiatives include: JEMM, a Calgary based property developer; SmartBe, a wealth management firm focussed on quant-based investing, via an ETF on the TSX; Katipult, which is enabling private equity firms to include retail investors as sources of investment capital; and Rival Technologies, which is re-shaping how marketing research can be conducted through technology.

Past initiatives include: Chairman, Solium; Chairman, Cority; Chairman, Southern Lights of NZ; Director, Curve Dental; Chairman, InnerVision Medical Technologies; and Director, Peyto Exploration & Production. In addition, Mike spent 15 years in the merchant energy business, including the CEO of Engage Energy, which was sold in 2002.

Mike has an Engineering degree and an MBA from the University of Alberta.

Not for profit activities include: An Associate with Creative Destruction Labs; A Board member for CAWST (Center for Affordable Water and Sanitation Treatment), a Calgary based not-for-profit engineering firm focussed on water and sanitation in the developing world; and past Chair of Calgary’s largest minor hockey association, which included fundraising Chair for the expansion of the Flames Community Arenas complex.

Mike and his wife Jacquie have two adult children; and they like to travel the world, usually from the vantage point of a tandem bicycle.


Brian Craig

A senior investor with experience founding, managing and advising companies, Brian brings a combination of strategic business insight and the ability to mentor and inspire entrepreneurs. He’s a longstanding investor and director in early-stage technology and energy companies, and through patience and fortitude has helped guide multiple companies through the perils of adolescence.

Brian has a passion for nature and outdoor adventure, and is committed to sustainable and responsible solutions in his business and personal life.
