Project management comes naturally to some, but others must work hard to ensure their projects are completed correctly. What makes some managers better than others? Well, it starts with organization. A person who is well organized can accomplish much more than those who are not. Project management software is a great place to start but it is not the only thing that a good project manager has under their hat. Here is part 3 of our 25 quick tips to make any project a success, where we are giving you the third set of 5 tips so you to can achieve project success with every project you are managing. 11. Risk Plan

There are always going to be bumps in the road. Make sure to have a risk plan in place. When these bumps occur, have a plan that can quickly take care of them. Always set aside funds and people to handle any issues that arise.

12. Involve Customers

In some projects, a customer can be a big source of help. Regardless of what the project, remember the customer. If there is any way to get them involved, it can only help to ensure it is geared toward that crowd.

13. Teach the Team To Work Together

Some people are natural at working as a team. Others require a bit of work as they have a more independent nature. The project manager needs to teach people how to work together. This can be done through team building exercises and group activities. Don’t think it is a waste of time to get the team in sync. It will only save money in the long run.

14. Make Sure to Keep Supplies Stocked

If the project has a specific set of supplies needed, make sure the team always has these supplies on hand. Running out of supplies can equal downtime. Any downtime is going to cut into the profits. Make sure that the supplies are always stocked, and the team needs nothing.

15. Keep Communication Open

The project manager, upper management, and team players should all have open communication. They should be able to quickly and easily discuss how they feel or what is going on in the project. If communication fails, the project can go downhill.
